Click2Bid launches for the 4th consecutive year in 2012

The fourth annual Click2Bid online event auction run by The West Australian is LIVE now from 10th – 19th August 2012 at

Over 175 vendors have contributed approximately $6.6 Million worth of product to the auction including $1 million worth of new Home Electronics and Appliances courtesy of local WA vendor Kambos Homemaker Superstore, a stunning four bedroom home from Leeuwin Homes, and over 25 cars from John Hughes and Phoenix Holden.

Click2Bid is the biggest online auction in the southern hemisphere. Since its launch in 2009, Click2Bid has seen over 47,000 registered bidders purchasing over 18,800 items generating over $9.5 Million of incremental revenue for the local masthead. With the growth of online shopping and daily deals sites the auction is perfectly positioned to deliver real savings to shoppers from local retailers.

This year’s auction, it is expected to see over 16,000 bidders participate especially with the return of Deal of the Day, which proved to be a huge success in 2011.

The auction platform offers a win, win, win scenario” said Nicola Walsh of inXcess, Program Manager. “The Newspaper generates incremental revenue, the advertisers fund their campaigns at a wholesale cost of their products, and consumers get a fantastic deal at up to 50% off the usual selling price of the items”.

Australian’s are becoming more loyal to their local brands and are spending approximately 80% of their dollars in their local community.  Click2bid 2012 hopes to produce great results again and show that local customers are very loyal to their local community and support local initiatives.

The West Australian are very proud to have their major sponsors; QBE Insurance and Vivid Wireless, support them for a third consecutive year.
