Click2Bid returns in 2011
inXcess Pty Ltd announced today that the third annual Click2Bid online event auction run by The West Australian will be LIVE from 5th – 14th August 2011 at www.click2bid.com.au. Bidders can register at the site as of Monday 25th July, 2011.
Over 200 vendors have contributed approximately $6.5 Million worth of product to the auction including $1.5 million worth of Home Electronics and Appliances courtesy of Retravision, a block of land from the Aspen Group, and over 20 cars.
Click2Bid is the biggest online auction in the southern hemisphere. Since its launch in 2009, Click2Bid has seen over 30,000 registered bidders purchase over 8,000 items generating over $6 Million of incremental revenue for the local masthead. With the growth of online shopping and daily deals sites the auction is perfectly positioned to deliver real savings to shoppers from local retailers.
David Bignold, Advertising Director at The West Australian is happy with the $6.5 Million sales result in terms of product secured for auction. “The response to Click2Bid has yet again been overwhelming. Our sponsors QBE Insurance and Vivid Wireless are back again in a resounding show of support for the project as are our major vendors including Retravision WA and the John Hughes Group.”
“The auction platform offers a win, win, win scenario” said Nicola Walsh of inXcess. “The Newspaper generates incremental revenue, the advertisers fund their campaigns at a wholesale cost of their products, and consumers get a fantastic deal at up to 50% off the usual selling price of the items”. This platform is the true essence of what inXcess Pty Ltd deliver to their media clients by ensuring all parties receive the best out of the program.
inXcess’s online auction platform have proven success for The West Australian newspaper for two consecutive years. Executing an innovative program such as this takes a lot of time assessing the market and making sure the right product mix is available. inXcess, Managing Director Cheryl Newsom, is very confident that Click2Bid will produce very good results like previous years.
